As we venture into what is known as “The Lord’s Prayer” we find that prayer is meant to transform us. It transforms us by being deeply personal without being selfish. It’s personal, because in Jesus we have the privilege of relating to God as our loving Father. But within the warmth of that relationship, we are called outside of ourselves.
