Christmas is not only a time to celebrate what happened at the birth of Jesus, it is also a time to celebrate what it means! This week we begin a new sermon series called Christmas Stakes a Claim. We are going to be exploring 4 claims that Christmas makes. Each of these claims are unique, and absolute.
Christmas stakes a Claim with regards to Jesus’ unique identity. 1 John 1:1-2 claims that Jesus while being human, was no ordinary human. He was God in the flesh! John reports of his experience with Jesus and says Christmas is when we celebrate something that has never happened before – Christmas is when God has come near.
